CrossLedger is a digital infrastructure initiative developed by GDN Group, designed to support greater transparency and auditability across documentation and settlement milestones in cross-border commodity trade, working alongside established banking, inspection and logistics processes.
Cross-border commodity transactions typically involve paper-based letters of credit, manual document verification, and settlement processes that can take days or weeks, adding cost and coordination friction for every participant in the trade chain.
CrossLedger is being developed to anchor trade milestones, such as inspection certificates and vessel documentation, on-chain, working alongside rather than replacing established banking, inspection and logistics processes. Smart escrow functionality is designed to support conditional release of funds once milestones are verified. The intent is greater transparency, reduced administrative friction, and auditable transaction milestones.
CLXT is designed as the utility layer supporting defined functions within the CrossLedger ecosystem as it is developed. Intended functions are outlined below; availability depends on platform development stage.
CLXT is designed to be used to pay smart escrow and verification workflow fees on the CrossLedger platform.
Different CLXT holding thresholds are designed to unlock different platform wallet tiers as features are released.
Token holders are intended to receive transaction fee discounts and early access to new trade corridors as they launch.
Commodity importers, exporters, financiers and logistics providers are the intended adopters of CLXT as trade volumes scale.
CLXT token distribution on Ethereum mainnet. Smart contract deployed. Platform infrastructure under development.
Planned CrossLedger trade platform launch. Initial commodity corridors planned for onboarding (EN590, ICUMSA 45 sugar). Smart escrow and document verification planned to go live.
Planned expansion into broader trade corridors, enterprise user onboarding, and integrations with financiers, inspection agencies, and logistics providers.
Token information, distribution details and participation are managed separately at crossledger.trade. GDN Group's corporate site does not process token transactions.
